Raising Tomorrow's Leaders
As our students advance in rank, they have the chance to be nominated for one of our three Leadership roles within out Academy. Each of these leadership opportunities help the students develop both as a martial artist, as well as a leader.
High-Intensity Team (H.I.T.) – This team of junior leaders serves as a preparatory program for students who want a chance at becoming a S.T.O.R.M member. Students can join H.I.T. in as little as a year in our programs. Exemplary students are invited to join H.I.T. where they work one-on-one with younger students, improve their style, and get a feel for leadership and mentoring. These students wear black uniforms and are great examples of the talent that martial arts study can create.
Special Team of Role Models (S.T.O.R.M.) – This group of student leaders assist in our classes and act as leaders and mentors for younger students. S.T.O.R.M. members assist in multiple classes throughout each week and once a month, they meet to learn teaching techniques and improve their leadership skills. By elevating the standards of their own practice and technique, S.T.O.R.M. members become a powerful guiding influence on the positive development on the students they work with.
Assistant Instructor (A.I) – Our instructors are the highest level of leadership in our Academy and are reserved for our students who have brought out the best in the students they have been teaching over the years. As an A.I. member, you will be responsible for running parts of classes and helping promote students through their junior ranks. Our most elite leaders in the S.T.O.R.M. and adult program are hand-selected to become part of our pillar of leaders at the Academy.
